“Transparency, openness and sincerity” was what designer Tony Cohen had in mind for his latest Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collection shown at Amsterdam Fashion Week on 24 January 2015.
Tony Cohen wanted his collection to literally reflect the keywords transparency, openness and sincerity, by way of using transparent fabrics – like lace – and opening up/slicing up dresses on the side.
Not being afraid to recycle some pieces from his previous collections for his Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collection, Tony Cohen updated these looks by using new fabrics. And there was even menswear.
What started as a small capsule collection last year, turned into a full blown collection this year. Inspired by what Tony Cohen would wear himself and what would look good on others, the menswear collection focused on wearability, finish, textures and fabrics.
Speaking of fabrics, Tony Cohen extended his 17 years of experience with womenswear into his menswear collection by using fabrics typically used for womenswear, like crepe. Thereby creating a cross road between his women’s and men’s collection.
Not limited by costs or price, Tony Cohen is in the enviable position to design whatever he – at that moment – likes best. So for now this is his dream collection.
