The Markus Lupfer Sample Sale Is Perfect For Snapping Up A Steal

London was finally seeing the sun yesterday so what better time to take a trip on the Overground to Hackney and a Markus Lupfer sample sale preview at The Box.

I love The Box, I think it is definitely my favourite sample sale space – so bright and well run, and added bonus; it’s in the middle of the discounted shopping world of Hackney Walk. The preview of the Markus Lupfer sample sale was starting at 6:30pm so as my daughter and I arrived a little early we popped in to Burberry.

In my opinion this i best Burberry outlet by far, so much better than Bicester Village and Cheshire Oaks. It is Burberry right, so it’s not cheap, but there are some bargains to be had. I got a beautiful pair of gold brogues for just £89!
So armed with that purchase we went over the road to the sale and checked in our bags. I have mentioned before how much I love the fact The Box give you a shopping bag to wander around with – such a small thing makes such a massive difference.

There is a ready good selection of stock both menswear and ladieswear at the Markus Lupfer sample sale. From the iconic sequin knitwear to the beautiful whimsical silk prints. Lots of t-shirts – some seriously beautiful skirts, tailored high waisted shorts, denim skirts, dungarees and silk dresses and the prices are excellent!

A good 80% off retail. All items are individually priced. Dresses for £70, shirts for £50 for example. Furthermore the mens collection had an additional 20% off (but I don’t if that was just for preview night).

The downside. The size selection is not great. The ladieswear is predominantly Small with the odd Medium and Large, and the menswear is similar. Perfect for my daughter who got some snakeskin print shorts £20 and a lip embroidered t shirt, also £20.

The shoes were great – all individually priced, I bought some leopard print ponyskin brogues for £70 – no box, but not worn samples. There was also handbags between the £100 – £150 mark. By the till was a good selection of sunglasses which are a collaboration with the Linda Farrow gallery. These had the boxes included and were £30, versus the £300+ retail price.

So another great sale – and there was a bar. I couldn’t be happier.
