You don’t always need to spend a ‘fortune’ on beauty products. Take these No7 Stay Perfect Shade And Define eye pencils for example. For £8/€9,45/$9.99 they are a great alternative to the more high end creamy eyeshadow sticks.
The 8 different colours of the No7 Stay Perfect Shade And Define eye pencils range from black and grey to pink and gold and everything in between.
Here’s some information on how to use the No7 Stay Perfect Shade And Define:
“Tip 1: Use as a liner by applying along the upper and lower lash lines to define the eye
Tip 2: Use the side of the pencil tip to create a wider line or the top of the tip to create a thinner line – alternatively, to achieve a really thin or precise detail such as kitten flicks, load the product onto Precision Eyeliner Brush from the tip of the pencil and then apply
Tip 3: Use as a shadow… by applying directly to the lid, or for a more precise application use the No7 Eye Shadow brush
Tip 4: Create a smoky look by using a brush or your fingertips to blend the colour, for example along the socket line – You’ll need to work quickly before the colour dries and adheres to the eye lid, particularly if you use a brush. The warmth from your fingertips may give you more time to play with the colour“.
The eye pencils come in a retractable twist up stick with a built in sharpener to keep the point sharp (how brilliant is that?). Like the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks the No7 Stay Perfect Shade And Define is easy to apply and lasts for ages without smudging.
But because of its staying power you need to work fast when you apply it, as it won’t budge once set (which is pretty fast!). As it blends and layers easily, you can create various looks with the pencils.
The 3 colours I received, Pink Pearl, Glistening Ray and Cool Mink, are very pigmented and have shimmer in it for some sparkle. They even look a bit metallic in sunlight (see the below photo).
From left to right: No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Pencil Pink Pearl, No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Pencil Glistening Ray, No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Pencil Cool Mink.
Glistening Ray tends to be more on the yellow gold side whereas Pink Pearl is more pale pink. Cool Mink is a combination of brown and taupe.
Before I forget, here’s a budget saving tip. If you sharpen a pencil don’t throw away the pencil shavings. Store it in a little container or use it immediately with a brush.
For just £8/€9,45/$9.99 the No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define pencils are great value and definitely worth the purchase.
