One of the hottest fall nail polish colours are jewel tones. Metallics can also been seen this year, so it’s no coincidence that I bought the Illamasqua Viridian after I had been eyeing it for a while. It’s not a new Illamasqua colour so you might have seen it or even have it in your drawer.
Illamasqua describes Viridian as “a peacock green metallic finish”. I think it’s more a green/teal colour with the emphasis on green. I’m wearing two coats here except for my little finger where I applied just one coat. As you can see you can easily get away with just one coat as it’s already fully opaque. No topcoat applied here as I just wanted to give a good impression of the colour. In sunlight the Illamasqua Viridian has a fine shimmer without being too empowering (see the below image). Not only did it apply easily it also wore beautifully.
It’s a perfect colour for the colder winter months and I can even see me wearing it in spring/summer (as I love a bit of glitter). The Illamasqua Viridian costs £14.50.
