With this weather I’m looking for a skin saviour, one that hydrates and reduces fine lines. And as I still haven’t found my wand to magic away every line and wrinkle, see here, I tried the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II serum.
The Estee Lauder Advanced Repair has been Estee Lauder’s best selling product over 30 years. The formula has been reformulated over the past years resulting in the Synchronized Recovery Complex II. This latest version of the Estee Lauder Advanced Repair won numerous beauty prizes such as the InStyle Best Beauty Buy Awards 2014 Winner and the Elle Beauty Awards 2013 Winner.
But does that mean it works? First of all, in my humble opinion a beauty product can’t permanently erase wrinkles (and no Botox is not a beauty product well at least not one that is available over the counter). I do think, however, that a beauty product can improve the appearances of your skin and may work as an anti-aging product (this is what I truly hope because why else am I using anti-aging products…). Hence, the reason why I’ve been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.
Use the serum before your moisturiser in the evening by massaging it over your face and neck. The serum is a transparent fluid with a slightly orange colour and a pleasant smell. It’s quickly absorbed by the skin without being sticky. I clean my skin, apply the Night Repair, brush my teeth and then apply my night cream (just to make sure that it’s completely absorbed).
Because I love serums so much I’ve been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair am and pm. I love how it hydrates my skin and how much smoother it feels. And I think my skin looks more brighter and fresher when I use it.
Is it worth it? I think it is! And the price? The Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Recovery Complex II 30ml costs £48, the 50ml version £65.
