Ellis Faas has some of the most beautiful packaging in the beauty world. Take these bullet shaped pens. Sleek and minimalistic, they are my newest eye makeup additions. At a recent beauty haul, I couldn’t resist adding the Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes E124 (teal) and the Ellis Faas Lights E302 (golden-green) to my shopping cart, as I had read of lot of raving reviews about the amazing staying power and colours of the Creamy Eyes and Lights.

How to use the Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes and Lights? Application of the product is fairly simple. Pull the cap off the bullet pen and twist the bottom of the pen to ensure the product comes out. When using the pens for the first time you need to twist it a few times before the product comes out. As soon as you see the product popping up, wait a bit to saturate the applicator/brush before you twist it again.

It takes a bit of practice and patience to control the amount of product that comes out. Take your time, don’t use it when you are in a hurry. It’s quite easy to over twist resulting in too much product spilling out (which you can’t really use the next time as it’s dry). Ellis Faas recommends cleaning the applicator/brush to prevent clogging. If you don’t use the pen regularly and not clean the applicator, the product in the applicator may dry up blocking everything.

As I’ve read that some people had problems with the packaging, in specific with the twist system, I gave Ellis Faas a call and they informed me that they have recently redesigned the mechanics of the pens (not all stores will have the new redesigned products as they might be selling the older versions) which should result in less problems. If anybody has a problem (with the old or new designs) they can always contact Ellis Faas (info@ellisfaas.com). Please note, I haven’t been sponsored by Ellis Faas or given the products for free.

Ellis Faas Lights E302 and Ellis Faas Creamy Lights E124.

The Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes E124 is an amazing teal colour with a hint of shimmer. The swatch is quite dark and when you apply it to your lids it’s dark at first, but when it dries up it becomes lighter. As you can see, the teal colour is beautifully pigmented and it’s easy to blend and build up the colour. Do make sure you don’t wait too long as it dries quickly.

The Ellis Faas Lights 302 has stolen my heart. I’m completely smitten with this golden-green shade. It’s such a versatile colour. If I want more shimmer I don’t sheer it out, but if I want to go all bling bling I keep it thicker. I really love the combination of the teal colour with the golden-green shade.

On my eye lids, I’ve used my fingers instead of the applicator/brush. I first applied the teal shade and then a bit of the Lights. I like to use a bit of the Lights at the top lash line to open the eyes. Once everything is dry and set, it’s truly everlasting and I just love how it looks and kinda got addicted to it.

The product doesn’t crease and is so worth every penny which is quite important as the Ellis Faas products don’t come cheap. The Ellis Faas products are amongst others available at Liberty and the Ellis Faas website. The Creamy Eyes cost £23/€26/$36 and the Lights E302 £26/€32/$42. Can’t wait to add more of Ellis Faas products to my beauty stash.
