While browsing the Burt’s Bees shelves looking for shower gel, I couldn’t resist the Burt’s Bees tinted lip balms and before I knew it, I had chucked the Hibiscus in my shopping cart.
It wasn’t just the colours that drew me to these lip balms, it was also the mention on the package that they are 100% natural. Shea butter is one of the ingredients. Being a Burt’s Bees lip balm virgin (although I heard good stories of it, I never tried one), I could’t wait to try it.
You can’t guess it from the package, but inside the paper package is the real lip balm. It’s like opening a Russian matryoshka doll. The Hibiscus has a smooth consistency and provides a hint of colour (it looks very natural). I also find it quite moisturising and it gives my lips some shine without being sticky. As it is a lip balm, you have to reapply it regularly if you want the colour to stay on all day.
The Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms cost £5.99.
