5 Easy Tips On How To Lose Weight

Party season is here! But having trouble squeezing into your party outfit? Help is on the way; here are 5 easy tips on how to lose weight.

1. Wake up call

Start your day with a glass of warm water with freshly squeezed lemon juice. This will help you to wake up and get your metabolism started. If you think it is too sour, you can add a little bit of honey.

2. Water

Drink water. Abandon soft drinks like diet coke from your routine. Those bubbly drinks are no good for your intestines and let’s not even talk about the sugar content of some soft drinks. To give your water some flavouring why not pimp it up with some raspberries, cucumber or mint? Or drink green tea instead. It’s good for your digestion and it is (hot) water.

3. Rest

Make sure you sleep/rest at least for 7 or 8 hours a night. Your body needs some time to recover from the day. Less sleep will affect your hormones and, here it comes again, your digestion. But do not overdo it by staying in bed for 9 to 10 hours (although a sleep in once in a while isn’t so bad at all). Stay active!

4. Routine

Set your clock, eat and sleep at approximately the same time every day. Your body likes a strict routine. It will help you feel less hungry and prevents cravings. When you reset your inner clock, you will wake up bright and early. Not saying you will be a morning person instantly.

5. Healthy snacks

Resist cravings. We all have those moments that we just want to eat something although it is not even dinner time yet. But it is all about what you do with it. Your body might be telling you that it needs some food, but does it really have to be a candy bar or something alike? Try to grab an apple or some almonds.
