10 Things To Do In London In November

As Christmas is just around the corner, November 2015 brings plenty of things to get into the Christmas spirit. Not a fan of Christmas? No worries, 10 things to do in London in November offers also non Christmas things.

Lord Mayors Show

1. Lord Mayors Show

Even if politics isn’t really your thing, the Lord Mayors Show is a good old London event worth checking out just for all the pomp and glory. This year is the 800th year of the show so it is bound to be super. So head out to see the procession between Bank and Aldwych and also take advantage of some of the London city guides on offer from 3PM on the day.

2. Bonfire Night

You could choose to celebrate Bonfire Night from number of fantastic venues across London but I’d recommend the Alexandra Palace event for its magnificent views across the city

Urban food fest

3. Urban Food Fest

Not exclusive to November but a cool event nevertheless is the Urban Food Fest in Shoreditch, the heart of London cool. On offer every Saturday are some amazing street food offerings, beers and cocktails.

Hyper Japan Christmas Market

4. Hyper Japan Christmas Market

If there’s one event I definitely want to check out, it is the Hyper Japan Christmas Market in later November. Having only recently come back from the wonderful island, I can’t wait to get back and events such as this help fulfill that urge to some extent! Kawaii, cosplay and lots of sake are all part of the show.

5. London Jazz Festival

The EFG London Jazz Festival has been described as the ‘best jazz festival on the planet’. It brings together some of the best musical talent in the world, as well as showcasing some incredible local talent.

Wahaca Day of the Dead Festival

6. Wahaca Day of the Dead Festival

Wahaca’s Day Of the Dead fiesta will aim to “recreate how Mexico celebrates death whilst living life and bring a little spark of that to Tobacco Dock”. Expect food, music, art and more.

With the colder nights becoming more frequent, you need to head to one of London’s whisky bars for a wee dram to celebrate St. Andrews Day. The Pullman St Pancras is high on the list of recommendations.

Christmas Designer Market at the Victoria and Albert Museum

8. Christmas Designer Market at the V&A

If you are looking to stock up on some unique Christmas presents, it is worth checking out the Christmas Designer Market at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The market, which is a collaboration between the V&A Museum of Childhood and Dot to Dot, promises an eclectic collection of items from independent designers.

9. Silent Disco at the Altitude

If you want to have a good boogie and listen to your favourite music whilst taking in possibly one the best views of London (I know for a fact, I worked up the building), there is no other place to do so than at Altitude London.
